Agility 1 Class
Minimum participants 5, maximum 10
Dog must be at least 10 months old
Basic Obedience Training is recommended but not required, so long as handler can demonstrate control of their dog around other dogs and handlers. Dogs should be able to sit, down, stay and come with one verbal command with dog on a short leash.
Purpose: Learn fundamentals of Tunnel, Chute, Tire, Table, A-Frame, Dog Walk, See-Saw, Offset weave poles, Non-winged jumps, Winged jumps and Panel jump in an AKC Standard ring. Maximum jump height will be 6 - 12 inches. Obstacle heights will be reduced. We will work on exercises to develop the dog's awareness of back legs. Will introduce sequencing. Dog may be on leash, Flyball collar or tab during class.
Agility 2
Minimum participants 5, maximum 10
Dog must have completed Agility 1 (or) equivalent training and experience per instructor and training director
Purpose: The goal of Agility 2 is to master all jumps including the double and triple jump and all obstacles at reduced height. Handlers will work on handling techniques. Team will continue to work on offset weaves, targets, and sequencing. Dogs may be on leash, Flyball collar or tab during class.
Agility 3
Minimum participants 5, maximum 10 per ring
Dog must be at least 14 months old
Dog must have completed Agility 2 (or) equivalent training and experience per instructor and training director
Purpose: The goal of Agility 3 is to successfully sequence several jumps and obstacles with dog under control. Emphasis is placed on handling techniques and obstacle discrimation. Jump heights may be at full height. Dogs will be on tab or Flyball collar.
Agility 4 - Intermediate
Minimum participants 5, maximum 10 per ring
Dog must be at least 14 months old
Dog must have completed Agility 3 (or) Equivalent training and experience per instructor and training director
Purpose: The goal of Intermediate 4 is to have team pass a Novice course at end of class. Students will continue advance handling techniques and obstacle discrimination. Students will learn how to develop strategies on running a regulation course.
Monthly Novice Pre-Show Class
Minimum participants 5, maximum 10 per ring
Dog must be 14 months old
Dog must have completed Intermediate 4 and/or passed a regulation Novice course.
Purpose: Monthly classes will continue to work on handling improvement and speed. Every other week an AKC Standard course will be set up so student will gain experience on different courses.
Obedience for the Agility Dog
Minimum participants 5, maximum 10
Dog must be at least 10 months old and be familiar with the jump, tunnel, chute, table and bottom on contacts.
Purpose: This class will address exercises like stays on the start, on targets, on the table, quick comes, sits, downs, running out of the ring and more. The goal is to gain more control in the ring. Dogs will also work on maneuvering with their back legs. This is not a typical obedience class and we will not work or healing or controlled walking.
Agility Show & Go
 
Maximum participants, no limit
Handler/dog will sign up during show hours, first come, first serve. At that time, waiver will be signed and payment made
Each team will have 90 seconds in a ring that is set up with an Excellent Course that is also numbered for Novice
Available to experienced agility handlers and dogs
Purpose: A Show & Go is a Mock Agility Trial. Rings are set under AKC rules. Jump heights will be 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 or 24. Handler will select jump height for their dog. Staff will call table counts. Standard course time and yardage will be available. There will be no scoring or titles earned.
Agility Rules:

Students will sign a waiver agreement at beginning of each class or Show Go

Dogs must be up-to-date with Rabies, DHLP/Parvo, and Bordatella Immunizations

Students must keep their dog in control at all times
-
Dogs are to be on leash at all times outside the ring
-
Dogs will be secured to tie-down or held by another person while student is walking the course
-
Students are responsible for walking their dog in the designated potty area and then picking up after their dogs and disposing in trash
-
No bitches in season may attend classes
-
Aggressive dogs may not attend classes
-
Instructor may excuse a dog/student from class if dog tries to attack another dog or person, and refund policy is in effect

Students must maintain a flea-control program on dog

Instructor may excuse a dog from class if it appears lame or ill
-
Rain make-ups may be made within 7 days of the missed class, or a class may be added to the end

To enter classes without pre-requisites, dog/handler must be evaluated by Instructor

Students shall attend 5 out of 6 classes and demonstrate to the Instructor that they have mastered basic elements of the course in order to graduate

Children must be at least 14 years old to attend classes with parent or guardian in attendance. Children under 14 years may attend private classes or attend class if parent or guardian attends Pre-Agility 1 and Agility 2. Then the child may attend the Pre-Agility 1 class with the same dog that parent handled and with same parent attending class with child. In every case, the instructor shall give final consent of childs attendance

Family or friends are welcome to watch the class from the sidelines. In no case may anyone approach or try to touch the other dogs, or be in the training area

If you are going to be absent, please give us a call
Agility Class Refund Policy:
- If student cancels class after attending the first class, they can request a transfer to another available class at a later date with no charge
- If student cancels class after attending the first class, and they do not want to attend a later class, they can request a refund of the paid tuition less $25.00
- There will be no refund or transfer if student cancels after attending the second class
